Solar charge controllers
Great prices, great selection
The solar charge controller generates the voltage corresponding to the battery from the voltage of the solar cells, which can be nominally 12V, 24V, or 48V. Most solar charge controllers can generate two or even three voltage levels, but you should always check before buying to see if the selected charge controller can be fitted to the battery. Order now and don't forget to get the inverter too!
Many models at one place
Most solar charge controllers charge with a three-stage fast charge characteristic. Exiting the current limit with an absorption charging voltage and then a float charging voltage to make the battery available at full charge as quickly as possible. Many solar charge controllers already charge with a temperature-compensated algorithm, which can significantly increase battery life. The amount of compensation is typically 2.5mV / ° C or 4mV / ° C per cell.
The solar charge controller can operate with MPPT or PWM algorithm. Although MPPT charge controllers are more expensive, they are more efficient, so in the long run, a carefully designed system pays for itself.
The advantage of today's solar charge controllers is that they have built-in deep discharge protection and monitoring, so the operating parameters can be checked remotely at any time.
